ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS

Robby Tebow (Executive Producer)

The producer of the documentary Year of the Quarterback , Robby Tebow, was a Parade All-American baseball player; he graduated from Carson Newman College, where he earned All-Conference honors in football. After graduation, he served as Northeast Florida area director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is president of XV Enterprises, a sports marketing firm handling Tim Tebow’s endorsements and off-field activities.

Tim Tebow (Executive Producer)
Tim Tebow is a two-time national champion, first round NFL draft pick and Heisman Trophy winner. In addition, he serves as a college football analyst for ESPN. Prior to joining ESPN, Tebow played three years in the NFL for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets. Currently, Tebow is pursuing a career in professional baseball as a member of the New York Mets organization.
Tebow is the author of two New York Times best-selling books: Through My Eyes , which was named the #1 sports and religion book of 2011 and Shaken: Discovering your True Identity in the Midst of Life’s Storms, which released in 2016 and won the 2017 Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Book of the Year. Tebow released his third New York Time best-seller, This Is The Day , in September 2018.

Tebow grew up the son of missionaries and has returned to the Philippines several times throughout his life to spread God’s word and do the Lord’s work by serving the needy. The Tim Tebow Foundation was established in 2010 with the goal to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.

Chris Dowling (Director, Co-Writer)

Chris Dowling is a writer, producer and director known for his work on such films as WHERE HOPE GROWS and PRICELESS and the television series Repo Games . Chris earned his radio/television/film degree from the University of Texas and moved to Los Angeles in 2009, when he wrote and directed his debut film ROCK SLYDE featuring Patrick Warburton.

Trey Brunson (Executive Producer)

Trey Brunson is the Director of Communications for Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, and has previously served as a pastor and church planter in California, Florida and Texas. He is married to Rachael and they have two boys named Wyatt Bear and Judah Knox, a daughter named Scout Helena and a baby on the way.

Joe Kosakowski (Exe cutive Producer) Joe Kosakowski is the CEO and founder of Quest Groups, a Boise company that helps connect companies with workers. Just under 50 workers, 36 of them recruiters, work in the company’s downtown office. Kosakowski got his start with Albertsons in California and moved to Boise with that company. He started Quest Groups in 2002 out of his home in Sun Valley and hired his first employee 11 years ago. She’s still with the company.

Bill Reeves (Executive Producer)

Bill Reeves is the founder of The WTA Group. He has extensive experience in the Christian product industry since 1988 in Christian retail roles, then with Word Entertainment/Warner in distribution support for recording artists such as Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith. At Big Idea Productions, Bill led Christian retail product licensing and distribution for the successful VeggieTales® brand and worked on the theatrical release of Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie. During his tenure at Thomas Nelson Publishers/HarperCollins he served as executive producer of several children’s video properties, including Max Lucado's “Hermie & Friends”® series. As VP of marketing for Propeller Consulting, he participated in the marketing launches of leading faith-based films such as, Fireproof , Courageous and Soul Surfer and led the consumer products campaigns for the Kendrick Brothers’ films, including serving as the agent for the New York Times No. 1 best-selling book, The Love Dare , and many other charting books. In 2009, Bill launched The WTA Group to develop his business where he has led the marketing campaigns for such films as 90 Minutes in Heaven , The Ultimate Life and God’s Not Dead and the agency has steered the release of films such as Heaven is for Real , War Room and I Can Only Imagine. Bill has spoken at Sundance Film Festival, Christian Worldview Film Festival and Sunscreen Film Festival, along with being interviewed by the LA Times .

Erik Weir (Executive Producer)

Erik Weir is Partner at The WTA Group and is currently founder, president and CEO of WCM Global Wealth which seeks to deliver the highest quality advice and money management for high net worth investors. Erik joined Merrill Lynch in 1989, followed by his role at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette as a senior vice president providing money management services to various founders of technology companies. He opened Weir Capital Management, LLC in 1999, developing a global client base for financial solutions, twice named one of the 25 fastest growing companies in South Carolina by the state’s Chamber of Commerce before launching WCM Global Wealth in 2011.

Ken Carpenter (Producer)

Ken Carpenter’s experience on a wide variety of film and video projects adds up to a broad-based production background. As a producer/director, his career spans feature films, television, commercials, documentaries, branding videos, music videos and more. His work has drawn numerous film festival awards. Besides producing RUN THE RACE , he produced and directed SWEET SWEET SUMMERTIME, to release in 2017.

Darren Moorman (Producer)

Maryland native Darren Moorman produced ALL OVER AGAIN, starring Craig T. Nelson and Academy Award→ nominee Robert Loggia. The movie won the Santa Clarita Film Festival. Darren worked as production supervisor on film projects such as OUT OF TIME with Denzel Washington and with DIRECTV. Other films include Sundance Film Festival-selection MARILYN HOTCHKISS BALLROOM DANCING AND CHARM SCHOOL and JACK AND THE BEANSTALK, starring Chevy Chase. Darren has produced comedy shows such as Thou Shalt Laugh, starring Patricia Heaton.

Jake McEntire (Producer, Co-Writer)

Native Texan Jake McEntire—actor, writer and producer—sees 12 years of effort come to fruition with production of RUN THE RACE , which he conceived, co-wrote and produced. As an actor, Jake appeared in the film RED WING starring Bill Paxton and on the TV series The League .
