ABOUT THE CAST
Mykelti Williamson (Coach Hailey)
A Missouri native, Mykelti Williamson played Bubba opposite Tom Hanks in the Academy Award-winning film FORREST GUMP. He is also well-known for television roles in Justified and CSI: New York . Early in his career, Mykelti was a teen dancer on Soul Train and a standout high school athlete. He starred with Denzel Washington in the film version of August Wilson’s play FENCES.
Evan Hofer (Dave Truett)
Launching his career in the Fred Savage-directed Everyday Kid, Evan Hofer went on to a featured role in Kickin’ It on the Disney XD channel. He appeared in an episode of Modern Family . RUN THE RACE is Evan’s feature film debut.
Tanner Stine (Zach Truett)
Launching his acting career on stage at a young age, Tanner Stine is known for his role on Nickelodeon’s hit series The Thundermans . He has appeared in NCIS, Teen Wolf and Wicked City among many other TV roles.
Frances Fisher (Louise)
An award-winning stage actress, Frances Fisher played Ruth Dewitt Bukater—mother to Kate Winslet’s character—in the Academy Award→-winning TITANIC. Launching her TV career on The Edge of Night, Frances went on to major roles in series including Becker, Eureka and Resurrection, and in films such as THE WOMAN IN GOLD and THE LINCOLN LAWYER.
Kelsey Reinhardt (Ginger)
Kelsey Reinhardt makes her feature film debut in RUN THE RACE . Her featured roles in TV series include Amazon’s award-winning Transparent and Dating Dummy .
Kristoffer Polaha (Michael Truett)
A star in the critically-acclaimed CW series Life Unexpected , Kristoffer Polaha recently was seen in season one of Condor opposite William Hurt and Max Irons. Polaha co-starred with Rainn Wilson in the Fox series Backstrom , guest starred in episodes of Lethal Weapon and Rizzoli & Isles , recurred on the final season of Castle and starred in numerous cable films. Additionally, Polaha has starred in a number of TV series over the past 10 years including a multi-season recurring role on the acclaimed series Mad Men .
Mario Van Peebles (Pastor)
A well-regarded director, actor, producer and writer, Mario Van Peebles recently directed part two of the remake of the groundbreaking miniseries Roots . He also has directed hit shows such as Empire, The Last Ship, Nashville and many more. Mario’s extensive acting credits include the role of Malcolm X in Michael Mann's Oscar® nominated ALI.
Caleb Castille (Dexter)
Former University of Alabama football player Caleb Castille made his feature film debut in the faith-and-sports film WOODLAWN. Caleb comes from a football family; his father and two older brothers played at Alabama and in the NFL.
