Most of the "Deadpool 2" footage has been edited to meet the PG-13 thresholds of violence and language.

"Once Upon a Deadpool" and will open in select theaters on December 12. The rerelease, which is three minutes shorter, will play through Christmas Eve. Most of the "Deadpool 2" footage has been edited to meet the PG-13 thresholds of violence and language. New footage (eight scenes) was also shot for "Once Upon a Deadpool" that will serve as a framing sequence in which Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool reads the story to Fred Savage in the style of 1987’s The Princess Bride.
