"Everybody Knows" (Todos Los Saben) follows Laura (Cruz) on her travels from Argentina to her small home town in Spain for her sister’s wedding, bringing her two children along for the occasion. Amid the joyful reunion and festivities, the eldest daughter is abducted. In the tense days that follow, various family and community tensions surface and deeply hidden secrets are revealed.

The unexpected turns in life. Foundations you thought were there turn to shifting sand. This is what “Everyone Knows” is about. We have all been there and that is what the film is all about. The sure thing in the film, and in your life, is one’s self. You always have you. “To thine own self be true” and “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” All good advice from Shakespeare. True then, true now, and demonstrated in the film. Enjoy this wonderfully acted and directed film.
