Darfur mission is to raise public awareness
about the ongoing genocide in Darfur and to mobilize a unified response
to the atrocities that threaten the lives of two million people in
the Darfur region. Darfur has been embroiled in a deadly conflict
for over three years. At least 400,000 people have been killed;
more than 2 million innocent civilians have been forced to flee
their homes and now live in displaced-persons camps in Sudan
or in refugee camps in neighboring Chad; and more than 3.5 million
men, women, and children are completely reliant on international
aid for survival. Not since the Rwandan genocide of 1994 has
the world seen such a calculated campaign of displacement, starvation,
rape, and mass slaughter. www.savedarfur.org

Americans – ONE

ONE is students and ministers, punk rockers and NASCAR moms, Americans

history. ONE believes that allocating an additional ONE percent of the
U.S. budget toward providing basic needs like health, education, clean
water and food would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation
in the world's poorest countries. ONE also calls for debt cancellation,
trade reform and anti–corruption measures in a comprehensive
package to help Africa and the poorest nations beat AIDS and extreme
poverty. www.one.org/

Plot Summary: The third and final installment of the $100 million "Resident Evil" hits, "Resident Evil: Extinction" is again based on the wildly popular video game series and picks up where the
last film left off. Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert,
once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps),
along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse
Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every
human being undead... and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella
Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes
genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These
skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive. — More here
