ABOUT THE CAST

JAMIE KENNEDY (Justin Schumacher, age 32) An actor with a unique view and offbeat sensibility, Jamie Kennedy skyrocketed to fame with a groundbreaking performance and scene-stealing rants in Wes Craven’s Scream and Scream 2. His portrayal of Randy Meeks, the video-store-clerk-turned-horror-hero with a knack for pop culture, secured him a place in the annals of horror movie history. He has gone on to work with some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including George Clooney, Eddie Murphy, Steve Martin, and Will Smith.

Kennedy will next be seen in April 2007 starring in Kickin’ It Old Skool which he was also a producer on. Kickin’ It tells the tale of a 12 year old break dancer who in 1985 hits his head performing at a talent show and as a result is comatose for 20 years. He awakens to find out he is a grown man who thinks like a young break dancer in the 80’s.

In addition, Kennedy’s documentary which he produced with Michael Addis called "Heckler," has been accepted into The Tribeca Film Festival. Heckler is a comedic feature documentary exploring the increasingly critical world we live in. After starring in a film that was critically bashed, Jamie Kennedy takes on hecklers and critics and asks some interesting questions of people such as Jon Voight, George Lucas, Bill Maher, Mike Ditka, Rob Zombie and many more. This fast moving, hilarious documentary pulls no punches as you see an uncensored look at just how nasty and mean the fight is between those in the spotlight and those in the dark.

Kennedy returned to television in the summer or 2006 with his series, Blowin’ Up, a comedic reality series for MTV. The show followed him as he and sidekick Stu Stone attempted to achieve their lifelong dream of becoming rappers. They released their first album also titled Blowin’ Up in July 2006.

Kennedy was last seen on the big screen in his starring role in the Warner Bros. film Malibu’s Most Wanted. The film, which he also co-wrote, is based on the fictional Malibu rapper Brad Gluckman, one of the characters Kennedy created and often portrayed on The Jamie Kennedy Experiment.

Kennedy also conquered the book market with the release of his autobiography Wannabe…A Hollywood Experiment in the summer of 2003. In the book, Kennedy shares his good and bad times, from his boyhood in Philly to his current Hollywood experiences.

In 2002, Kennedy triumphed on the WB when he created the hit show The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. He was writer, producer, and star of the series, portraying a myriad of characters each week during the show’s three seasons. Returning to the WB again last year, Kennedy served as a co-creator and executive producer on the WB series’ The Starlet and Living with Fran.

As a teenager growing up near Philadelphia in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Kennedy got a taste of Hollywood working as an extra in Dead Poets Society. A year later, he moved out to Los Angeles at age 18 and began performing improvisational comedy and stand-up at open-mic nights.

After much dues-paying, Kennedy got his first big break in 1996 with the role of Sampson in Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. Soon after, he was a breakout star of Scream and next appeared as a street hustler in James L. Brooks’ As Good As It Gets. The roles continued and in 1999 Kennedy co-starred in the Persian Gulf War movie Three Kings, directed by David O. Russell and starring George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. That same year, he starred as a wannabe cinematographer opposite two of his biggest idols, Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy, in the comedy Bowfinger. In Boiler Room, Kennedy teamed up with Ben Affleck, Giovanni Ribisi and Vin Diesel to expose the dark side of Wall Street.

Amassed in a short time, Kennedy’s expansive list of movie credits also includes the animated feature Robots, Enemy of the State opposite Will Smith and Gene Hackman; Bait starring Jamie Foxx and David Morse; Max Keeble’s Big Move; The Debtors with Randy Quaid and Michael Caine; Starf*cker; Clockwatchers; Bongwater; and The Specials with Rob Lowe and Thomas Haden Church, a film which Kennedy also produced.

Kennedy currently resides in Los Angeles.

During the summer of her sophomore year, the nineteen-year-old Menounos further exhibited her career range, producing the previously mentioned Merry Misfits with a cast and crew from MTV. When finishing funds fell through and the film was vaulted, it was Maria, four years later, who rescued the project – she, herself, providing the financing for completion.

After completing her junior year at Emerson, Menounos was hired as an International correspondent/anchor for Channel One News, a news magazine show that boasts a daily audience of eight-million teenagers. At Channel One, Maria interviewed the President and covered many serious topics, most notably the AIDS virus in South Africa.

It was her journey to South Africa and her exposure to the suffering of its citizens that inspired Maria to found Take Action Hollywood! The charity’s mission aims to utilize the power of the entertainment industry and the medium of production to educate, empower and raise social awareness. With the motto “social change through the silver screen,” the group targets central social issues by producing and promoting quality feature films and commercials. To encourage greater understanding of such subjects, the productions will generally feature the talents of big name stars and directors, much like the Holocaust-based success, “Schlinder’s List.”

Maria and TAH! have already produced a commercial for AIDS awareness and have similarly promoted pet adoption through featured articles in various publications, as well as through segments airing on Entertainment Tonight. Maria and TAH! are currently developing a quirky commercial campaign to curb pet overpopulation as well as a narrative feature film tentatively titled Aids for Dummies concerning the current state of the AIDS virus. Maria will serve as Executive Producer on both projects.
